I am a BOTANIST, a PHYSIOTHERAPIST but am also a NETWORK MARKETING professional. The journey of the latter, all started 7months ago. Lemme share the story with you.
It was 13th of September, 2013 around 4:00pm that I received a cold call from one of my secondary school friends giving me an invitation to a conference organized for medical practitioners in the state of Osun and that remembered me as an old friend to please avail myself of the opportunity. Plainly, I objected that I was not interested because I was making "my money". Later in the day, I received yet another call from one of the invited guest that was one of the speakers on that day who I arrogantly challenged what could they have been coming to teach us. She however said something in connection with arterial diseases that struck my mind and since I had always had flares for stroke patients so I thought to my self well, maybe but not sure. Coincidentally, another friend of mine was inviting me for similar meeting but the invitation of the second friend was somehow "shady" so I decided to say maybe I will honor the former invitation. My final decision to attend was supported by my best female companion ever...who learnt so well to me (from the Rivers). So with her encouragement, I attended on that day.
On getting there, what I saw was surprisingly shocking! I was the lowest of the academic cadre -a CORP member among Directors of different medical fields in the system of Osun, heads of different departments, my "Oga's" in medicine and even the commissioner of health in the state, all were in attendance.
Then we started the lectures that was divided into two parts namely the entrepreneurial part packed with real life lectures on financial literacy, that throughout my 11years in higher instructions, I had never learnt. Sincerely it was a fantastic presentation as I listened and tape recorded the presentation until I found out it was NETWORK MARKETING... then I started losing interest but the speaker is actually a motivational speaker... "I make 2million naira per month", it didn't move me Co's I thought Just as you think it's not true, so I zeroed mind I wasn't going to do it because of biased information I had about network marketing Just as you perhaps had or have. So she finished he presentation and after which a lots of people showed interest by picking up a form to register but I didn't.
There comes a second presentation on arterial diseases which to me look more professional and more in line with my practice of physiotherapy. So I decided in my mind that it's only other aspect of the business I will do and likewise a couple of few of my senior colleagues. That however is far quite expensive to start and thought it will receive so much a patronage, so I decided to plan on getting it, but there was a challenge! The capital.
I need like about 500k to set it up to my taste and Just about 2weeks earlier I had gone to fight them in bank because they did not fix the amount I had with them initially which they eventually fixed about a week before I had the opportunity so it will be difficult to go back and inform them again to "unfix" my money, so I thought the only time I could global back to them is about 6months time. So I decided to wait till 6months after and likewise my fellow senior colleagues! Do you see power of procrastination! Don't worry I will explain better later. So the whole program ended and we were dispatching. As I was about driving out, I caught sight of the first presenter and something Just inspired me to walk up to her and that I did, told her about my decision, the reason I don't have interest and didn't put down my name for network marketing, so she said "who told you to be hawking, lemme Just help you", then she handed over some instructional materials to me free of charge so I collected if after all, she didn't say I should pay for it. as far as I was concerned, I "knew" what I wanted.
When I got home that same day, I relayed the outcome of the program to my friend and at night, I was thinking about the program I said I will start 6months time. I thought about it that, by that time, I would have finished my service, the little savings without steady flow of income will soon dry off, and when that happened, what I think I will be able to do will or may become impossible then plus since it's "relatively" so I needed to act fast. But remember, I had fixed deposit my account meaning I don't have access to my money again. So the only option I have is to turn to external source for loan and work towards getting it in a week time.
During that period, I didn't even look towards the direction I kept the instructional materials until a day about 6days later when I came earlier from my "bucket carrying job" and I caught sight of it, then said "lemme even see what is inside this pack", then I started watching the DVDs, listening to the audio and reading the books. That was the Genesis of my turning point and my interest in network marketing. Then I started doing my personal researches and found out that I had been missing a lot.
Eventually, I made up my mind I will do this thing and that is actually the best decision I had ever made in my business world! I acted fast, started by borrowing about 0.5m, out of which Just 70k was channeled towards NETWORK MARKETING!!! It will be shocking however to know that within 5 months I had finished paying the money back and most INTERESTING PART WAS that over 85% of the money realized to pay the debt came from network marketing - not even my so-called professional part that consumed close to 450k of the whole money! Is it not interesting?
Today I am not making much honestly as on average I earn over 150k per month which is Just a chicken change compared to what potential each and everyone of us can and should work towards. Very soon I will also start earning like my mentors especially my No 7th distributor in the company (Mrs Fehintoluwa Onagoruwa) who earns on n average N2M per month and over N4M as the thirteen month (chairman bonus from this Just concluded global rally)
So I wrote this page to stimulate in you desire to achieve, soar high, procrastinate less, act now! Lest I forgot, do you know among majority of people that."wanted to act" or."wished to" or "still thinking ".are still held in a wheel of procrastination and they move nowhere! It's over 8months now my senior colleagues are still looking for money when I had acted, wishing to get started when I am getting bigger checks.
